Just south of the small southeast Missouri town of Advance you can find some of the best bred running horses around. The Jordan family has been involved with barrel horses since 1969. 

The passion for horses has been a family affair from the start. Charles Jordan, better known as C.F. was always handy with colts.  He trained and started many horses in this area, he started his last colt at the age of 75.  He had a fondness for a horse smart enough to work cows and quick enough to win a barrel race.  He was blessed with the patience to ensure they had the foundation to do both.

Steve Jordan started competing in all speed events at the age of 12 and has been lucky enough to run alot of nice horses through the years.  Along the way, he learned alot from not only his dad, but other horsemen befriended through the years.  Naturally, Steve took over starting the colts along the way using the same foundation that would allow them to go in any direction.  This knowledge has been passed to the girls and put to good use.

Four daughters and one grandson later, barrel racing and running bred horses are still a huge part of the Jordan family. From horse shows to rodeos, futurities to the racetrack we've been blessed to have a little luck with it all and made many great friends along the way.
